Lucy is growing so fast and learning so much. Her vocabulary is very extensive. She really catches on quickly to anything that you present to her. Her eagerness to learn is so beautiful to watch.
We have been working on our Primary colors this week. I purchased the first box of color tablets when Ava was younger and it's nice to see Lucy using the same work. If you'd like to know how to present the color tablets check out Montessori Primary Guide. I wanted to use the counting bears I've had on hand so I used homeschool creations cards as labels for the primary colors. After using the concrete items for a while I will move to the pictures that come with this printable. I will also use the cups that come with the counting bears. Another lesson I'll present to Lucy down the road is color mixing.
As of now, she can identify Red on her own. |
Lucy has also been working with her Melissa & Doug Caterpillar Gear Toy. She can match the colors by herself and loves to see the gears moving.
