Ava was trying to hula hoop and stopped mid way and said, "Mom, my hula is a circle!" I immediately thought of a work we would play in the classroom with our geometric solids. Ava has already mastered her shapes and geometric solids but I knew she hadn't played this game yet. I grabbed a few sheets of white paper and made a circle, triangle, rectangle and square with the words underneath. We then took turns looking around the house to find objects that matched. We didn't have many rooms to choose from because Lucy was upstairs asleep but we found what we could. This is super simple and you can modify it to match what shapes your child knows. If your child has already mastered their shapes introduce the geometric solids and search for those. Ava incorporated both.
So fun!
